From time to time here on the Obidala Fan Forum, we involve ourselves in some rather interesting debates (although there IS NO debate on the validity of pairing, and that Obi-Wan is THE MOST AWESOME JEDI....) but we have found other things to discuss.
Here are a few of the more interesting quotes that have been made during discussions over the past two years:

I saw that CD jacket before and was heartbroken to learn that this was originally planned but later scrapped.
George really tried to suck out any remote references to a triangle. For one, he didn't even include the deleted scene of Obi-wan visiting Padme at her apartment. Also, I remember listening to his commentary on the deleted scene in ROTS where Padme says she knows of one Jedi she can trust, and I shook my head at his words. George's take on that scene was that Padme was thinking of Anakin when she said that, but it's not true. In the novel, Padme is thinking of Obi-wan as the Jedi she trusts, not her husband. The author even spells it out.
Ah, well.

You? A bad influence? Never!! Lol. Obidala is so much fun when you get to compare it to other fandoms and find parallels with other characters... even if we do stray a bit off topic sometimes.

I, personally, see TPM as the perfect jump-start to the deep relationship between the two characters. There would be, unquestionably, a strong physical attraction. But beyond that, TPM provides them both the opportunity to see the best of one another and form a bond as comerades in arms, one of the strongest of all. It's a foundation of respect and admiration from which affection and truly unconditional love can spring.

interesting stuff
what i like about wording like that is, there is no clear cut answer, one person sees one thing, another person sees another
that's what i like about obidala, there is no clear cut answer
its all up to one's interpretation of it

This is where fanfic comes in. We get to write what Lucas should have....provide Padme with the stable and loving relationship she deserved.
The Key Word here is fiction.
I really get irritated with people jumping down my throat for trying to change the Star Wars universe.
All we are doing is writing it the way it SHOULD HAVE BEEN written in the first place.
And then there are those entirely random comments - most of which seem to focus on ONE subject....as you will see....

Why be embarassed? We're all Obidala fans here. Maybe I'll toss in a tub scene somewhere.
