We've had a real problem in our fandom recently. Sites dissappearing and interest lacking. How can we help fix that and bring Obidala back bigger and stronger than ever?
Please explain your answer and/or ask any questions in a reply below.

We talked about this on Skype last nigt, Rosalie. In the series the Clone Wars, their needs to be an episode (I hope a two or three parter) where Obi-Wan and Padme go on a mission together. Have they never seen the movies?? It's like GL hasn't told them about the friendship of Obi-Wan and Padme! It's ridiculous - there's episodes where Padme and Anakin are making out and talking about running away together for a while, but we have next to no Obidala moments in the series. A couple microscopic ones, but nothing to build on at all barely. And it just dosen't make sense to me. There's three more season of the Clone Wars left. Three. Whole. Seasons. It just dosen't make sense to me what they wouldn't give us just one episode. Honestly. Padme and Obi-Wan are friends and have known each other for years. Maybe if one of us did right a letter...But, we couldn't say anything about Obidala though. We'd have to talk of their friendship, their long-time connection, trust, and how well they work together. If we mentioned those things, we may have a higher chance for success.

Maybe we should organize a letter writting campaign? Have a bunch of us, as many as we can, write in to them.
I wrote a letter after the RotS DVD came out without the deleted scene we wanted. I just got a form letter back. Because they had so many letters coming in.
But if enough of us do it . . . maybe we'll get a reply.
And thanks for answering. I think these polls are really important.

A letter campaign is a brilliant idea! And I think you're right. Our chances of getting a reply back would be higher.

YAY! I'm in! I mean, it is true. I think in ROTS, you can really see the deep friendship between Obi-Wan and Padmé, and that it has developed further since AOTC (where she wanted to save him DESPERATELY). Just think of how she begged Anakin to ask Obi for help. And in the novel, it is made absolutely clear that she trusts him, even more than she trusts Anakin. And he was with her during childbirth, for cryin' out loud. I think they really should show how their friendship developed. And I totally agree with you Courtney, they should go on a mission together. It could be one episode or two. That's all we're asking for.

I totally agree guys. We really should start a campaign - I'm desperate to see them in an episode together. Courtney, I love that gif.

I voted for building up Obidala on other fansites, mainly fanfiction.net and Force.net. You have to hunt for a lot of the good Obidala fics, Force.net doesn't seem to have many, and the Obidala community page on ff.net is very out of date.
And I agree about the Clone Wars thing. In the novels its noticeable they have a friendship, and yet from the few episodes I've seen of the series they seem to ignore that fact or take it as a given. There has to be incentive for Ani to believe Palpy's implications about the two of them, something which ROTS novel touches on, but you yearn for it to elaborate.

and the Obidala community page on ff.net is very out of date. How do I explain this one? I was added to this community with the understanding that I would be helping a former member. When she left she didn't exactly explain everything. Sometimes I'm a little slow when it comes to understanding all this stuff. LOL I'm not sure how to update, but if there are any volunteers that are willing to help, I'll see if I can figure out how to add you name to the ff.net Obidala community page and someone can help with updating. I would really love to see it updated.

I wouldn't mind helping! I haven't been involved in a community on ff.net, but I have been a member/author at ff.net for a long time. I don't mind fiddling around on it. Perhaps, you could PM me about it.
