Hello Members and welcome.
This weekend we celebrate the
5th Anniversary of the Obidala Fan Forum!!!
We've gone through a lot of changes (and challenges) over our years together. And whether you've been here since the beginning or since yesterday, nothing on the forum would be possible without your support of the community and your love for Obidala!
The next three days are totally for you guys. Please enjoy all the goodies. We have new fics, art, vids, games, and even discussion threads.
Finally, please take a moment to reply to this thread. This is your guestbook. Feel free to "sign." Tell us your name and where your from (if you're cool with that). And talk a bit about how you came to find the Forum and what your experience here has been like.
MTFBWYA!

*waves hello* I'm Lynda. I live in Eugene, Oregon. I have 2 dogs. Very old dogs.. Gizmo is sitting on my lap, while I try to type. I'm a charter member of the OFF. The very first member to join, not the person who created the forum.. but the first, member. I've been around for awhile, in so many ways. I have made so many friends on the OFF. Really special ones that have touched my heart, in some way. As Rosalie told me once, "friends are the family you choose." I feel like we are all family. You guys crack me up w/your sense of humor. I love reading your "point of views", when it comes to our favorite pairing. Or anything that deals w/Star Wars. This is a great place to be, and to see everyone's talents that are displayed here. You all make this forum a success. Thank you so much for being part of our OFF family *hugs* I honestly have a fun time here and enjoy all the Obidalaness you share here on the forum. You all are the BEST of the BEST! Always, the Force will be with you.

I guess I should sign too huh? Lol. I am Rosalie *bows humbly* I hail from the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay to be exact) And I guess you could say that I'm a charter member as well . . . not as charter as Lynda, but I'll take it. Lol. (love you Lynda!!) I joined the forum at the beginning (I was even a member of the first Obidala forum before this one). And it's been a real pleasure to be one of your mods. The OFF is such a refuge. Truly. A place for people to come and not only share their love of Obidala but to share . . . well anything really. I've made some amazing friends here. More each day it seems. And you all are such wonderful, beautiful, intelligent, talented, caring and generous individuals. It's been my honor to know you all and spend so much time with you over the past five years. Here's to five more!!! *high fives* Love you guys!!! *hugs* And FYT I give you the LOLz:

I'm Courtney, and I've been a member for year now! I'm 18. I just graduated from high school in Caledonia, MI. Like Lynda, I have pets. Two cats, Sugar and Whiskers, whom I adore like parents adore their children. Sugar often sits on my lap while I'm my computer. I love this site. And the girls on here are awesome. I, too have made so many friends on here. True friends! And for that I'm so grateful. I've had bad days -who dosen't once in a while? - and when I've come on here, someone always manages to make me feel better. And I never cease to be amazed by the talent on this site. So many talented writers, video makers, and artists. And the knowledge too. I love being apart of discussions, and of course, praising the wonderful artists on this site! So, a big thank you to all my fellow members and friends. I love you guys! *big hugs* May the Force be With You

I'm Danielle I'm 28 and in seven days I'll have been a member for a year. I hail from Rugby, Great Britain, until we moved first to Norfolk then Suffolk in August of last year, just after I discovered this fabulous place. Mu-san's story Piece of the Heart first got me interested in Obidala and then I found this place and all you wonderfully kind and supportive and creatively brilliant members got me completely hooked. Words cannot properly express how much I love dropping by this place, as I do almost every day. It is lovely and inspiring to read and look at the stories and walls and more which are here. I have been inspired so much by everyone here, you have made me laugh and smile when nothing else seems to do so. Here I have found the friends I have been missing all my life. A massive thank you to everyone here. Happy five years, long live Obidala and may the Force be with us, always. ;D

Hello all! -waves.- I am Vicky. I'm a new addition to the forums. I believe I joined a few months ago. I am 19, almost 20 and I'm a proud Canadian. I'm an even prouder west coast girl and I live in British Columbia. Currently, I am attending university and have a pretty busy schedule. This doesn't mean that I don't try to squeeze in fangirling as much as I can into my busy schedule. I have a great interest in making graphics and video editing and I really appreciate all the support that I've received from the people at this forum. I love this site. It always brightens my day when there's someone else who fangirls over the same things that I do and I can have a decent conversation about a fandom. I'm looking forward to getting know all of you better! And congratulations on FIVE YEARS!!! WHOOT! OBIDALA!!!

I'm Sandra, aka the Wolf (which has been my international nickname since I was 14) I am now 18 years old (turning 19 in July), live in Sweden with my biiig family (half of us are human, the other half are animals...) and I am graduating from highschool in exactly a week from today ;D My father was the one who got me interested in Star Wars, even though in the beginning I was very confused about the storyline (I'm always confused when he tells me the storyline of epic stories, it was the same when he told me about Lord of the Rings). But I got into it and as I loved FanFictions at the time (still do) I looked for Star Wars-fanfics on the internet And I suddenly found Obidala Best founding ever since it paired my two favourite characters in the movies So since then I have basically just continued to look for stuff that concerns Obidala - and I try and make my own stuff to keep the interest up. Biggest reward ever was when I and a friend of mine judged a SW-fanfiction-contest - she was originally an Anidala-fan but she surprised me by saying that the two Obidala-fanfics we had judged were waaay better than the Anidala-ones ;D Oh, and random fact - when I was 12 I recieved a biig poster from my beloved teacher with Darth Vader's autograph. The real Vader

Hello there! *bounces and waves* I'm Amelia, I'm 23 and I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I suppose that I'm also a charter member...kind of. I don't really own up to it because I was kind of dragged over here, not because I didn't want to come, but because of a former member who really wanted me over here making vids. So here I am! I have really loved being one of your mods for all of these years. Boy it sure doesn't seem like five years, or is that just me? It's been a pleasure to share my love for Obidala with you wonderful people for so long and I hope to be around and spreading the Obidala love for many more years to come.

Hi, I'm Natalie. I'm 17 and I live in West London, England. I'm currently in Sixth Form studying Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Sociology. I'm the eldest of 5 kids, 2 girls and 3 boys. But my sister and one of my brother's are dead so technically I'm the only girl. We also have a dog, a Pomeranian called Sparky who is my baby, and I love him to death. I joined the forum two years ago when I was searching for more Obidala sites. The first I found was 'Tangled Web' on brinkster and I was devastated when it was taken down. So I had to live with just watching vids on YouTube. Then I found this place and I've never been happier. Here I've met the most incredible people. I wished for so long that I could find people who loved Obi-Wan and Padmé as much as I do, and I've really found that here. All of you were so welcoming when I joined and so supportive when I started vidding, which gave me the motivation to continue, and I've made the greatest bunch of friends ever. All of you are so kind, helpful, funny, and talented - those being only a few of many wonderful qualities that you all share. I'm really glad to have met you guys and I want to wish you all a very happy 5th anniversary for our gorgeous pairing and hopefully many more to come. I love you guys! Obidala Forever!

Hi, everyone! I joined the forum a little over two years ago. My name is Melanie and I live in Arkansas. Please don't blame me for the Razorbacks. I hate them, too. And I also claim my other heritage, which is New Mexico.
I'm 31 years old, married, and have a cat named Pepper. No kids as of yet. I've loved Star Wars since I was a kid, so when Episode I was announced, I was super excited. I was in the middle of my fangirl crush on Liam Neeson when the movie was released, so I'm afraid I didn't pay much attention to anything else. And so it was Episode II Obi-Wan that made me go....'Wait. Who is this guy?!'.
The way Anakin turned out disappointed me greatly and I started looking for fanfiction that might write the character more to my satisfaction. I stumbled upon a lovely story with an Obi-Wan/Sabe pairing. From there....and with the help of a video I found that was made by either Rosalie or Amelia (I can't remember which)....I made the leap to Obi-Wan/Padme and never looked back.
I found the forum through a video on Youtube, although I couldn't tell you for the life of me which one it was. Stayed fairly quiet at first and then decided to join in the conversations. That was one of the best decisions ever.
From the moment I decided to start vidding, to my struggles with Obidala art, to my incredibly slow progress on my epic Obidala fic...everyone has been amazing and supportive. I've made some great friends here. This is the only fandom-specific forum I've ever been a part of and it's an absolute blast.
All of you guys are just incredible and I'm so very blessed to count you as my friends!

Hi, I'm Brianna, known by many names, most commonly spirithp, Little Miss Vidder, and Bonna. I'm 18 (finally) and just graduated high school two weeks ago. I live in small town Iowa (you should come check us out, we're a little more than just corn and bean fields) but will be going to school in Des Moines.
I've been a member for...what? 3? 4? years now? on and off. The whole concept of Obidala was introduced by a friend, who also dragged me to the forum, as Amelia was. This introduced me to vidding, and soon it all came together. Obidala gave me more than something to ship, good friends, or an outlet. It's lead me to what a plan to study in college, Film. Without this forum, and without vidding, I don't know if I would've found what I think I want to do for the rest of my life.
Best to all OFF members!

I'm not comfortable giving out my name or my state yet, but I'll say this-- I live near the Canadian border and I still live with my parents due to a disability I have. BUT I'm very intelligent and creative and I wouldn't trade that for the world!
I'm a committed Christian. I have a cat who is very attached to my dad. Most of my friends do not live in my town so I rarely get to see them. I'm passionate about a lot of things, Star Wars among them.
I've been through a lot of hard times, and I'm very lucky to be here. I graduated from college with a major in Spanish a year ago b ut I still don't have a job unfortunately. I did go to Argentina last year and lived there for awhile, so I do have some freelance work with a company there, so I guess that counts. Ok, that's enough for now.
